Member Transition Series

These are the stories of veterans who’ve left a life of service defending Australia. Our subjects served in Army, Navy and Air Force. Each portrait features one veteran, sharing their story and their journey from service to civilian life.

This series highlights the question of “what’s next?”. Defence are committed to providing support and training for what comes after their service, understanding that for many, this is the first time they will search for a job, prepare a resume, or attend a job interview.

These interviews were incredibly personal - we filmed in the subject’s home and spoke to members of their community for many of the films. Each portrait is emotive and thought provoking.

Our team travelled across the country from Western Australia to Tasmania to capture this content.
